Moi’s Grandson Put On Spot For Concealing His Actual Financial Status
ow Collins Moi, a scion of the Moi family whose wealth tentacles are cemented by political kleptocracy that span generations and continents claims to be poor, is puzzle that the Nakuru court is yet to believe.
Collins who is currently hounded in a bitter child support case with his ex-wife of two children who is demanding an upkeep of Kenya Shillings 1 million has stood his ground saying that he can only afford Ksh 500 to cater for monthly NHIF fees.
To counter Collins claim that he is broke, his determined ex-wife, Ms Gladys Jeruto Tagi, who petitioned the court to compel Mr Collins Kibet Moi to provide for his two children, told the court today that the father of her children is a man of means and lives a lavish lifestyle.
Ms Jeruto while responding to the claim dismissed the assertions and told the court Mr Moi , who is a trained pilot, has the resources to support his children.
Ms Tagi further told the court that his ex-husband drives an expensive motor vehicle model V8 Prado, which he is able to maintain.
She also dismissed claims that Mr Moi is broke, saying that he earns huge dividends from his late father’s estate.
The woman further opposed the proposal by Mr. Collins Moi to transfer their children to a public school arguing that the move would not be for the best interest of the children.
Nakuru Senior Principal Magistrate Benjamin Limo has directed that the matter proceeds to a full hearing before it is determined.
The matter will be mentioned on October 13.
