Raila to prioritize education in North Eastern if Elected
Addressing supporters in Garissa ODM party leader not only promised to spur economy of arid region by completing the regional roads he started as a minister of roads during president Kibaki regime and revive the drought stricken livestock industry in North Eastern but promise to let people pursue teaching the noble Profession,
Raila noted that the region has suffered due to the small number of teachers ready to teach in that part of the republic.
ODM leader encouraged residents to change their attitude towards education and invest in it so that children’s rights from nursery to university are not interfered with. The region suffers lack of teachers due to interest, locals prefer business or travel abroad to become refugees.
Raila promised to introduce school feeding program to mitigate the effects of drought.
