Kilifi Governor Amason Kingi has confirmed he will be attending tomorrow’s Azimio la Umoja convention at the Kasarani International Stadium and will be leading his party, the Pamoja African Alliance (PAA), and its delegation to the national event led by ODM leader Raila Odinga.
In a statement on Thursday afternoon, the PAA leader said his outfit believes in the unity of Kenyans, irrespective of their tribal, religious, or political affiliations and that every countryman and woman deserved equal and fair treatment.
”Pamoja African Alliance (PAA) believes in the unity of this country, irrespective of religion, tribe, and or political affiliation. Pamoja African Alliance (PAA) will champion and /support any effort made to achieve this objective including the Azimio la Umoja initiative,” Kingi said.
”It is for this reason that Pamoja African Alliance (PAA) will join like-minded political parties at Kasarani on Friday 10th December 2021 in an effort to bring this country together,” he added.
Governor Kingi, who had defected from ODM is said to be waiting for the opportune time to throw his weight behind Raila Odinga’s 2022 bid, considering he has been holding frequent meetings with the former prime minister’s top allies despite leaving the orange outfit.
