Police in Murang’a have launched a manhunt for two suspects who allegedly sodomised a 41-year old man.
The two are said to have been part of a four-man gang that ambushed the man as he was walking home from a drinking joint at around 1am on Monday and committed the heinous act.
“The man was walking home from imbibing frothy waters with elders at Kahethu Shopping Center, when he was approached by the four,” the Director ate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) said in a statement.
“They immediately dragged him to a secluded area before they wrestled him to the ground and did the despicable act in turns.”
The perpetrators then fled the scene leaving the man lying helpless on the ground.
Police officers have since arrested two suspects, Bernard Kamande (25) and Erick Kimani (21), after they were identified by the victim.
They are in custody at the Muthithi Police Station as the hunt for their two other accomplices goes on
The victim who sustained serious injuries is receiving treatment at a Murang’a hospital.
