President Uhuru Clears School Fees for Two High School Girls - hivipundetv.com

Two Secondary School girls at Getembe Mixed Secondary School got a shy of relief after President Uhuru Kenyatta cleared their fees.

The two sisters, who are in form two and four, were forced to stay home due to huge fee balances in school, something they feared could ruin their future.

However, their hope was rejuvenated after their story aired on Citizen TV caught the attention of the Head of State, prompting him to personally clear the balances.

Reports indicate that Kinuthia Mbugua, the State House Controller, facilitated the payments to allow the girls to continue with their education.

The girls, who hails from a humble family background in Kisii, depended on coaching activities to earn a living.

They are certified class three referees under the Football Federation of Kenya (FKF), and presides over matches in the lower league in Kisii County.

The president also promised to support their sports career to ensure they become better persons in the future.
