Why Miguna Miguna Must Cancel His Tuesday Trip to Kenya Immediately - hivipundetv.com

Controversial lawyer Miguna Miguna will be forced to postpone his return trip to Kenya after High Court declined to lift red alerts that have blocked his return.

High Court judge Hedwig Ongudi dismissed Miguna’s application to return home on grounds that there was no evidence to prove that he has been blocked from coming back to the country.

“The case was filed prematurely without evidence and is therefore dismissed,” the court ruled.

The court has tasked a controversial lawyer to prove the existence of a red alert in a petition that he listed senior government officials as respondents.

The officials listed officials include Attorney-General Kihara Kariuki, Foreign Affairs Cabinet Secretary Raychelle Omamo, Kenya Civil Aviation Authority Director-General Gilbert Kibe, Kenya Airports Authority Acting Managing Director Alex Gitari and Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Mating’i.

According to Miguna’s lawyer Dr. John Khaminwa, the alerts apply to two airlines Lufthansa German Airlines and Air France.

Miguna, who had already booked a flight from Toronto, was expected to land in the country on Tuesday, November 16, 2021.

“For the avoidance of any doubt, I have used my Kenya Passport that Despot Uhuru Kenyatta perforated in February 2018 to book my flight to Kenya, scheduled to arrive in the morning of November 16, 2021 at the JKIA. Let no one claim that I have used any other passport,” Miguna tweeted on Friday in protest of the court ruling.

Retired Chief Justice Willy Mutunga and Law Society of Kenya (LSK) have all joined forces to ensure Miguna is back in the country.
